Montenegro Stone Alley at Midday

Description:

The best walks don't go anywhere in particular. They just go.

This cityscape captures a quiet alley in a Montenegrin old town — warm ochre stone walls catching the midday sun, an archway opening onto the path ahead, a single figure almost out of frame, and a reddish cobblestone path glowing in the light. Painted in a loose expressionist style with warm earth tones and cool shadows, it captures the exact feeling of wandering a Mediterranean old town with the afternoon still ahead of you.

For anyone who's lost an hour to a side street on the Adriatic coast, or anyone still planning to.
